Our interns receive the opportunity to showcase their achievements to our Leaders for the opportunity to grow and make an impact in the current workplace across a group and around the world.What Youll Do:Support plant safety objectives together with safety improvements.Drive process improvements with support from Operations and Engineering where needed.The use of data and statistics to make decisions.Troubleshooting of day to day processes when an issue arises with working towards a root cause and elimination.Ownership of waste elimination projects.Documenting process via Marmon Utilitys standard process sheet.Participation in LEAN Kaizen events for Continuous Improvement efforts.Support day to day operations with assigned problem solving and improvements.Process support for capital projects implementation of new CMMS and Live monitoring software.What Youll Need:Bachelors Degree in progress within the field of Plastics Chemical Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent science/math-based degree.Previous work experience open to previous non-engineering backgrounds.Completed at least four semesters towards degree.Able to work in the US indefinitely and without restrictions.Excellent work ethic with ability to work independently and be proactive.Drive to learn and willingness to take on responsibility.Work Hours/Length of Program:The internship will run for 12 weeks from May to AugustFull Time 40 hours per week.Exact start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules and the needs of the business.This is a paid internship.Location:Seymour CTFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
