Process Engineer at Kemira

Learn more about Kemira at Kemira is looking for an experienced Process Engineerin our Marietta Georgia production facility. We are looking for someone to work in the plant on process and project engineering activities. This will include process improvements and modifications new project development and implementation preparing capital projects and troubleshooting existing process problems. This person will also assist with process safety and management of change for the site. This position reports to the Plant Manager.In this role you will be responsible for:Improving chemical production and utility processes.Collaborating with production staff to improve safety quality and efficiency.Coordinating process safety activities including:*Management of Change*Process hazard analysis*Pre-start up reviews*Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions for process incidents.Managing plant-wide improvement idea system.Training personnel on new / changed processes.Regulatory reporting and environmental protection activities.Providing technical and process safety support for new / experimental product trials.Developing and updating operating procedures P&IDs engineering records.Supporting or leading capital projects.Identifying and leading efforts to reduce emissions energy and water consumption.Developing competency to fill in for team members as needs arise.What you will bring to the team :Chemical engineering degree4 years of experience with chemical manufacturing involving batch reactions and PSM processes.Excellent written and oral communication skills (English).Demonstrated track record of self-motivation and skills growth.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks/ projects simultaneously within tight timeframes.Strong interactive skills with all levels of plant organization.Willingness to travel when required.Demonstrated Process Engineering and project support skillset including most of following:Process troubleshooting Material & energy balancesEquipment sizing & specification PFD developmentEquipment startup & commissioning Automation & controls knowledgeProject scope development Design safety reviewsContractor management Equipment orderingProcess Hazard Analysis leadershipWhat we offer:Excellent opportunity to develop your career and learn new skills.Work at a key manufacturing site for a company committed to innovation care for people and customer success.Professional collaborative colleagues and modern tools enabling you to perform at your best.Attractive compensation and benefit package including bonus program.Please apply with resume and cover letter no later thanDecember 30 2025at Kemira is a global leader in sustainable chemical solutions for water-intensive industries.
