JOB DESCRIPTION

Process Set-up Technician

As a Process Set-up Technician, you will be integral in operating and maintaining molds and injection molding machines. Your expertise will ensure maximum productivity and quality in machine operations. You will be expected to handle molds with care, make minor repairs, and utilize various auxiliary equipment and measuring devices.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all molds and injection molding machines proficiently.
  • Set molds, start machines, adjust settings, and make minor repairs to enhance productivity.
  • Understand molds thoroughly to prevent damage from improper handling.
  • Adjust, process, and repair related equipment, including foaming and robotic part picking machines.
  • Use gauges and measuring devices to maintain quality standards.
  • Modify new or existing equipment as needed.
  • Read and comprehend engineering drawings for plastic parts.
  • Perform maintenance on molds and supply necessary hand tools.
  • Accurately count and record production data.
  • Report directly to the department foreman and ensure efficient duty performance.
  • Observe safety regulations and maintain a clean work area.
  • Organize and maintain a 5S environment to enhance product flow and inventory tracking.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in molding and machine setup.
  • Experience as a Machine Operator with injection molds.
  • Ability to perform changeovers and preventive maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hendersonville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.90 - $24.40/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
