These markets include aerospace and defense factory automation air and water quality environmental monitoring electronics design and development oceanographic research deepwater oil and gas exploration and production medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.Job DescriptionJob Summary:Under the general supervision of a Research Scientist/Engineer performs technical tasks in hybrid area of Detector Operations to develop and/or maintain new or modified define processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture fabrication and evaluation of III-V material Focal Plane Arrays. Involvement may begin at any step from pilot plant to full-scale manufacturing as well as hands on processing of developmental process lots. Coordinates process design requirement review with appropriate engineering/scientific personnel to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Compiles and evaluates data to help determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications. May help in conceiving and planning projects involving definition and selection of new concepts equipment automation technology and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes. Keeps detailed logs of ongoing trials/tests. Responsibilities may include lab equipment set-up qual and maintenance as well as supporting production as needed.Detailed Description:Establish feasibility of new processes in hybrid area with hands-on processing of pilot lots on production equipmentSupport Hybridization area lead to optimize established processes and provide sustaining engineering support and continuous yield improvement in ProductionCharacterize results using quantitative metrology toolsDocument methods and workflows in MES-ready format and generate process and equipment work instructionsCollaborate with device physicists other research technicians and process development engineers to participate in overall product R&D cycleGeneration of presentations in support of process development plans/statusRequirements:High School Diploma or equivalent experience in related technical discipline requiredDirect experience in hybridization processes is necessary4 years of related experience in hybridization desiredComputer skills desired Word Excel & PowerpointAbility to communicate clearly in written and spoken EnglishAbility to use inspection equipment (like optical and laser confocal microscopes) and semiconductor fabrication equipment especially related to hybrid areaStrong motivation to be a technical lead for the areaApplicants must be either a U.S. citizen U.S. national legal permanent resident asylee refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.Knowledge of Semiconductor Device Physics a plusApplicants must be either a U.S. citizen U.S. national legal permanent resident asylee refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or CommerceSalary Range: $58100.00-$77400.000Pay TransparencyThe anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
