This includes developing and implementing procurement strategies managing supplier relationships creating and running bids and tenders (e.g. RFI/RFPs) negotiating contracts partnering with the internal business owners to optimize cost manage risk drive innovation and manage supplier performance across the supplier category assigned by the VP of Procurement. Provide thought leadership in analyzing spending identifying preferred suppliers and collaborating with internal departments to meet business needsEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOversee all procurement activities within the indirect materials suppliers category including but not limited to real estate facilities construction office supplies & equipmentCollaborate with the Chief Sales Officers leadership team to build a procurement strategyLead all sourcing activities to select suppliers using data to assess the potential suppliers based on capabilities and costs (e.g. Total Cost of Ownership)Identify and source new suppliers and vendors. Establish and update an approved vendor database manage the vendor selection process based on price quality support capacity and reliabilityConduct regular assessments of vendors performance and risk & compliance managementLead RFPs and conduct all vendor negotiations regarding contractual terms payment terms delivery pricing and/or baseline performance metricsTrack key metrics and KPIs to monitor performance and reduce costsDevelop and maintain constructive business relationships with key suppliersCoordinate with the Procurement Team on the receipt of goods and services to ensure timely and effective procurementParticipate in the regular review and analysis of financial statements. Meet the Procurement Teams objectives by estimating requirements preparing an annual budget scheduling expenditures analyzing variances and initiating corrective actionsEnsure procurement compliance with relevant regulations standards and lawsDevelop and implement risk mitigation strategiesUtilize procurement management softwareContinuously monitor industry trends and developmentsQualifications and Education RequirementsBachelors degree in Accounting Finance Economics or related discipline7 years of experience in a procurement role preferably in a management capacityTransactional procurement experience bidding process contract writing supplier management and administrationAbility to analyze and manage contracts at all levelsExcellent organizational skillsAbility to identify issues through sound analysis and application of commercial acumen in all situationsAbility to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneouslyStrong negotiations and influential skillsExpertise in a wide range of Procurement systems (e.g. Zycus Coupa SAP Ariba etc.) and digital procurement tools to enhance operational efficienciesIntermediate to expert level understanding of software license metrics and software procurement trendsExcellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skillsKnowledge of emerging technologies such as RFP automationPreferred SkillsProfessional certifications such as CPSM are preferredOther DutiesThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
