Job Description

Dematic is looking for a Procurement Senior Category Lead to join our team and help invent the future of strategic sourcing for our Robotics and Automation categories. As part of this position, you will develop and complete category strategies that enable scalable, profitable growth while driving innovation across our global supply chain. You’ll use data-driven insights, market intelligence, and advanced procurement technologies to optimize cost, mitigate risk, and improve supplier performance.You will collaborate with teams in Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Quality, and Solutions Development to align procurement initiatives with business objectives. Your success will be measured by Total Cost of Ownership savings, cash generation, margin improvement, and supplier performance in quality and delivery. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $90,750.00 to $120,000.00 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills. Tasks and Qualifications:What You Will do in This Role:Develop and communicate category strategies for the Robotics and Automation catgories.Identify and maintain reliable sources of supply to meet quality, service, and cost goalsNegotiate agreements using market analysis and scenario planning to achieve favorable outcomesWork with internal teams to coordinate negotiation strategies and deliver meaningful resultsBuild risk assessments and mitigation plans to prevent supply disruptions and respond quickly when challenges ariseReview and provide input on contract terms, pricing, and delivery requirementsBuild cost models and analyze market trends to understand pricing and supply chain impactsWhat We Are Looking For:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, engineering, or a related field8+ years of regional or global procurement experienceExperience in project-based procurement or managing integrated automated technology and software is a plusStrong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and leadAdvanced quantitative, cost modeling, and data analysis capabilitiesAbility to operate independently in a global, matrixed environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Embodies KION Group values: Integrity, Collaboration, Courage, and ExcellenceComfortable working in a diverse, global environmentWillingness to travel up to 25%#LI-JR1
