Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESProvides attentive, prompt, and friendly service to all internal and external customers.Builds and maintains customer satisfaction with the products and services offered by the co-op.Maintains knowledge of products, sales, and promotions.Ensures inventory is stored, stocked, and rotated according to standard procedures.Handles all product in a safe, sanitary, and conscientious manner.Ensures displays, signage, and tags are accurate.Participates in maintaining cleanliness and order.Adheres to Health Department regulations and department sanitation and safety procedures.Adheres to all workplace safety and security policies.Participates in meetings and trainings.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:PREREQUISITESHigh School Diploma or equivalent education or experience.A minimum of one (1) year’s experience in a retail environment. A minimum of one (1) year’s experience and familiarity with natural foods and products.Supports the co-op’s core values and aligns with the Co-op Code of Conduct.Adapts readily based on evolving co-op needs or in response to feedback.Maintains composure in highly stressful or adverse situations.ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL DEMANDSFlexibility to work any shift, including mornings, middays, evenings, weekends.Ability to work in varying temperatures (approximately 20°ree;F – 90°ree;F).Ability to stand or sit for long periods at a time.Ability to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist, and climb.Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and unassisted.Reliable access to transportation.
