As an Producer Consultant - Habitational Department you will:Obtain new clients retain existing clients and build long term relationships with all clients both produced and assignedDevelop and achieve maximum sales volume consistent with sales projectionsActively generate new leads through community activities attending association meetings cold calling obtaining expiration dates and other means to turn leads into prospects and clientsKnow available markets for various industries and coverages effectively negotiate placement with carriers develop relationships with carriers evaluate coverages/costPresent proposals to prospects and clients ensure all needed coverages are included to protect the client close the sale deliver policiesHandle complex processing and claim situations with client and/or company personnelAssist clients with policy coverage and service issues as neededCollect all premiums including audits made subsequent to policy issuance on all new accounts producedActively promote referral and cross-selling opportunitiesMaintain production reports and attend sales meetingsPromote agency and insurance industry in the communityMaintain professional technical and industry knowledge by pursuing designations attending educational classes reviewing professional publications establishing personal networks participating in professional societies and company training meetings on new productsOur future colleague.Wed love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:College degree preferredEffective negotiation persuasion and sales skills including closing the saleAbility to effectively prospect including cold callsGood communication presentation and interpersonal skillsAbility to develop lasting client relationshipsDetermined motivated by sales achieving goals and successAbility to work well on your own and also as part of a teamResilience to deal with customer rejectionAbility to develop in-depth knowledge of products and marketsSelf-confident with good business sense and professional mannerMust be able to travel as necessary for client meetings agent conventions and other industry meetings as neededMust learn the Agency Management System and Document Imaging SystemMust have Property & Casualty license or obtain within 90 days of employment.A shared commitment to company values; Integrity Collaboration Passion Innovation AccountabilityWe know there are excellent candidates who might not check all of these boxes.
