We are design-obsessed and exploratory by nature driving the concepting and development of Target-Owned Brands in Pet close partnership with merchant and sourcing teams youll ensure all Owned Brand products align to growth strategies line plans price points and the overall creative direction.We are looking for key strengths in following:Creating brand-relevant and research-backed trend conceptsTranslating insights into distinct ownable product linesDesigning unique products through thoughtful form language and material innovationLeveraging diverse intelligence culture consumer market data and technology to identify opportunitiesExploring and adopting new tools including digital design AI-enabled workflows rapid prototyping and 3D visualizationManaging work independently across multiple projects and timelinesBuilding strong cross-functional partnerships and fostering a collaborative environmentUnder the guidance of Design leadership you will independently own a category brand business or guest segment.You will:Develop compelling seasonal and long-range concepts rooted in trend consumer behavior and brand storytellingExplore innovative materials finishes and construction techniques across hard and soft goodsUse CAD illustration 3D tools and hand sketching to translate concepts into clear product directionPrepare high-quality design presentations with strong narrative and visual clarityPartner across design technical design sourcing merchant and operations teams to bring your ideas to marketIdentify and solve product issues using creative thinking and technical understandingContribute to brand cohesion by aligning with peersCore responsibilities of this job are described within this job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.About you:Four-year degree in Design (Industrial Graphic Fashion) or equivalent experience5 years of relevant retail experienceStrong trend research concept development and storytelling abilitiesExpertise in CAD illustration 2D/3D visualization and traditional sketchingAbility to build collections based on-trend conceptsKnowledge of hard-good materials (plastics metals woods) and soft-good textilesSkilled in Adobe Creative Suite and digital design toolsComfort working with evolving tools and technologiesAbility to synthesize feedback across large assortmentsSelf-motivated accountable and able to drive work independentlyStrong collaborator skilled at building relationships across functionsThrives in ambiguity and approaches problem-solving with curiosity and a can-do mindsetWillingness to travel as neededThis position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Targets needs.
