Job DescriptionJob DescriptionProduct Engineer/Design This individual will work with senior leadership, sales and the supply chain management team in order to lead the product design and engineer efforts within the company. Specifically, focusing on product design within the Millwork and PVC industry. Essential Duties and responsibilities · Interacts with manufactures and customers to address design and quality related questions.· Maintains a catalogue of accurate drawings of all items.· Leads design efforts of new products to include creation of appropriate manuals and documents, design reviews, schedules and budgets. · Suggests changes and improvements to current products.· Stays up to date on industry trends and changes in the Millwork and PVC industry. · Works with the Sales Team to address design and functionality ideas and concerns. · Creates bill of materials lists for products. · Will execute the filing of intellectual property documents and or perform research to ensure there is full understanding of protections of products. · Works to ensure completion of all marketing materials required for the product. Required Skills:· Technical knowledge of the product category · Prior experience in the Millwork/PVC industry · Excellent communication and leadership skills · Ability to manage projects · Manage to deadlines · Ability to travel as required · Working knowledge of Microsoft productsPreferred Skills:· Ability to work in CAD to design and modify products · 2- or 4-year degree in related fields · Direct product design/engineer experience Position Details: Re-location is available Medical and Dental benefits 401k Paid vacation/holidays
