OverviewThe Utility Network development team delivers cutting edge network data management software to customers globally. Bring your passion for communicating sophisticated software capabilities to a broad and diverse audience. We are looking for a creative detail-oriented and technically skilled Product Engineer to focus on Utility Network. This is a unique opportunity to work on both hands-on software testing and automation as well as developing engaging and approachable content to communicate and demonstrate best practices about the capabilities of the utility network web mapping data visualization and utility network workflows.Esri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide support with relocating to the Redlands CA area for this position.ResponsibilitiesWork with a team of dedicated software engineers and product engineers to design and author test casesCollaborate with software engineers product engineers and other stakeholders to test ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise functionality related to Utility Network capabilities across the platform including Geodatabase Enterprise Databases and Data Store as well as data management services such as: Utility Network service; Feature serviceLearn existing product technologies and troubleshoot production issues in current and past software platform versionsDocument software issues found during testing; reproduce bugs and work closely with Software Development Engineers to resolve these issuesWrite reference help documentation in our content management system about ArcGIS Utility Network Esris advanced network data model and comprehensive framework for managing utility networks such as electric gas water stormwater wastewater as well as telecommunication networksCreate and maintain blog articles videos guides and tutorials that provide guidance best practices and applied workflows for utilities and telecommunicationsTest new features to ensure new workflows and endpoints are accurately represented for all supported versions and productsTriage and address customer reported documentation issuesRequirements2 years of experience in a similar software engineering environment and/or professional writing related experienceExceptional written and verbal communication skillsPassion for innovative data visualizations and storytellingEnthusiasm for creating workflows demos and giving presentationsAbility to translate complex concepts into clear concise compelling contentEffective time management and organizational skills; work proactively and volunteer assistance without being asked and under tight turnaroundDemonstrated ability to thrive in an agile environment with a fluid mix of collaborative and independent workBachelors degree in GIS cartography computer science English or related fieldRecommended QualificationsMasters degree in computer science engineering geography GIS mathematics or related fieldProfessional writing related to utilities or telecommunicationsExperience with ArcGIS softwareExperience with relational databasesFamiliarity with an application development language such as C# Java C or PythonFamiliarity with the Agile software development life cycleExposure to DITA-based content management systems to create and publish documentsBasic understanding and experience with GitHub (issue management pull requests GitHub Actions)#LI-EL1#LI-Hybrid Key Skills Corporate Banking,Access Control,Gallery,Investment,Autocad,Asic Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
