JOB DESCRIPTION

The Product Engineer will play a key role in designing and developing innovative spinal implant devices within the medical industry. This position requires collaboration with surgeons in medical environments and using engineering expertise with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions. Client Details My client specializes in patient-specific implants and surgical guides. The organization focuses on improving surgical outcomes through innovation in additive manufacturing and software-driven customization. Description Reporting directly into the CTO, you will be responsible for the following: Collaborate with surgeons to obtain their feedback on company's spinal implant designs. Improve implant and instrument design and usability. Participate in labs and operating room observations to optimize ergonomics, usability, and workflow. Create CAD models incorporating biomechanics and design-for-manufacturing principles. Manage timelines, risks, and cross-functional communication across engineering, quality, regulatory, and manufacturing. Support design verification and validation activities, including mechanical testing, FEA, and usability assessments. Maintain design documentation such as DHF, specifications, drawings, and risk files. Profile A successful Spinal Implant Instruments Development Engineer should have: 3+ years of experience designing and developing spinal implants. Direct experience designing and developing spinal implants. Experience with 3D printing and design. Proficiency in CAD software for design and modeling purposes. Experience partnering with surgeons and working/observing in cadaver labs. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials used in spinal instruments. Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset. Job Offer A competitive salary between $100,000 and $130,000. Comprehensive 401K benefits package.
