Production and Brand Artist at Hearst

DescriptionFloor Covering Weekly( a division of Hearst is seeking a Production & Brand Artist with a minimum of three to five years of experience for its print and digital products.This position will lead FCWs visual and brand identity across all platforms and programs and drive editorial production activities.The ideal candidate will have a creative sensibility and keep our brand consistent and at a high level touching everything client and reader facing including but not limited to our print edition website social presence marketing and promotional materials.Print production experience - preparing files laying out pages and managing workflow and good communication skills are a must. The successful candidate will work very closely with the entire FCW team with some client facing interaction as well.ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will: Manage edit production cycle from initial page layout to final approvals.Lead artist and page designer for bi-monthly issues Floor Covering 101 guides and specialty print projects.Align and maintain a cohesive brand presence across all platformsDevelop and maintain style guides and templates to assure long-term consistency in design and to promote production efficiency.Drive the visual development of maintaining the websites position at the forefront of the industry.Design all promotional assets for consistency and engagement including logos newsletters emails event graphics house ads and other marketing efforts.QualificationsTo be considered for this role candidates should have the following experience skills and qualifications:3 - 5 years relevant experienceIntermediate level skills with Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign InCopy Illustrator PhotoshopIntermediate level skills with Microsoft Office SuiteAssociate Degree in Graphic Design Key Skills Graphic Design,Prepress,Adobe Acrobat,Layout Design,Adobe Creative Suite,Color Management,Screen Printing,Adobe Photoshop,Adobe Illustrator,CorelDraw,Sign Manufacturing,Adobe Indesign Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
