Primary responsibilities: Supports the evaluation of program and project requirements develops moderately complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System.Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design and rate estimates for equipment and tooling.Ensures compliance with safety producibility maintainability reliability ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.Validates contractual performance milestones maintains configuration control conducts reviews prepares plans for productions readiness preventative maintenance and spares.Conducts training for Production and Maintenance personnel.Develops and implements moderately complex work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware software and documentation.Supports studies for disposition of assets.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer scienceMinimum 1 year of experience working in an engineering disciplineMinimum 1 year of experience with production systems in a manufacturing or engineering capacityPreferred qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Mid-Level)5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Senior Level)Knowledge of various manufacturing techniquesExperience working in an Equipment or Tooling Engineer roleExperience working in a production environmentCATIA or equivalent solid modeling experienceExperience with programming integrating or troubleshooting industrial controls from OEMs.Experience using basic Microsoft Office and office computing systemsExperience in Automation and roboticsAbility to collaborate with both the engineering work force and the mechanics on the factory floorProject management knowledgeMotivated self-starter that may be asked to train less experienced engineersRelocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Union Representation:This is a Union Represented position.In locations where SPEEA representation applies this job family will be covered by the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
