Job Description SummaryThe Production Lead is a working lead responsible for coordinating daily activities on assigned Engines/Modules (EMUs) supporting material and workflow readiness and ensuring technicians have what they need to meet production safety and quality requirements. This role combines technical turbine work with team coordination problem-solving and communication across Operations Materials Quality Engineering and EHS.Job DescriptionEssential Duties & Responsibilities:Work as part of team to accomplish delivery goal for Engines and ModulesWill be assigned specific EMUs to lead based on skills and qualificationsPerform turbine technician job duties as required to keep up with production prioritiesEnsure all employees are at their assigned workstationMeet daily with Operations Leader to plan for the next day and set team priorities.Report shortage and incomplete tasks for communicating to oncoming shiftFacilitate training of Turbine Techs as neededCommunicate other leads concerning all internal parts movedWork with tram to improve productivity in area to include task vouchering tools and drawings.Assist in identifying P & E needs for the shop.Work with team to achieve business goals for DAFW and I & I metrics.Work with team for compliance with safety requirement and supporting EHS training metrics.Provide feedback to broader teams gates on issues and support of action plans to make improvements.Strong focus for process improvement and change management.Capability to actively work onmultiple tasks at the same time.Ability to multitask and effectively communicate across cross functional departments suppliers and customersPerform other related duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications/Requirements:High School Diploma or GEDAt least 2 years of Turbine Technician experience in your previous role.Ability to understand follow and lead work scope instructionsAbility to be able to lift push and pull up to40 poundsAbility to operate a forklift over 15000 poundsDesired Characteristics:Prior experience leading or co-leading a team and/or projectKnowledge of Lean processes.
