JOB DESCRIPTION
Production Lead
Shift: 1:30 PM-11:00 PM Hourly Rate: $24.11 an hour Job Summary: The Production Lead position coordinates and ensures the production line is ready for startup, assigning all associates to their work stations, participating in daily safety talks, ensuring all items received to the production line are correct, overseeing the production process including safety, quality, and GMP standards, completing a variety of reports promptly, troubleshooting production issues following procedure. You will work on site at the Council Bluffs Location. You will report to the Area Team Leader. Essential Job Functions: Work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for position Read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English Intermediate math skills Intermediate knowledge of computers Job Responsibilities: Coordinate and ensure production line is ready for startup (e.g., centerline checks, guards replaced, cleanliness) Ensure all associates are assigned to their workstations Verify production schedule, report absent associates, and call for temps Review requisition sheets to ensure all items and quantities received are correct Oversee the production process including safety, quality, and GMP standards Complete multiple daily reports promptly (e.g., HPR, downtime, usage, loss) Complete and return all required documentation Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with maintenance Perform PM tasks, projects, changeovers, and set-up and teardown of equipment Coordinate training for new associates Skills Required: Resolve conflicts and maintain an unbiased attitude Knowledge of GMP's, safety standards, food allergens Knowledge of SSOP's and SOP's Understanding of loss Knowledge of SPC Be LOTO certified Minimal mechanical knowledge Work with pork, chicken, beef, and shellfish products in addition to many other ingredients and allergens Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or GED. Experience Required: Minimum 1 year's production or related experience. Previous lead experience.
