JOB DESCRIPTION

The Production Manager job is a senior production leadership role responsible for driving safety, quality, delivery and efficiency across a high volume manufacturing operation. The role offers the opportunity to lead people, optimize processes and shape long term production strategy in a fast paced environment. They invest heavily in their people, safety culture and continuous improvement, offering a collaborative and performance driven environment where strong leaders can make a visible impact Description Reporting directly into the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for the following: Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure timely production and adherence to quality standards. Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and reduce operational costs. Monitor and maintain compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations. Lead and manage a team of production staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Analyze production data to identify and resolve bottlenecks or inefficiencies. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and resource allocation. Work closely with EHS to ensure standards, processes, and procedures are being followed and met. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes. Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of equipment and machinery. Profile A successful Production Manager should have: A Bachelor's Degree - required, Master's Degree - preferred 10+ years of experience in production and manufacturing. Must have experience working in a union plant. Direct experience leading and developing front line supervisors. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team. Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety standards. Experience driving Lean Manufacturing, SixSigma, and Continuous Improvement. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges. Effective communication skills to collaborate with various departments.
