Description:

As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence in production planning, efficiency, and team performance to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. This role requires deep expertise in automotive processes, specifically stamping, welding, and assembly, as well as lean manufacturing and automation. You will focus on continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the facility meets its strategic goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Production Planning & Execution: Develop and monitor daily and weekly production schedules to align with Just-In-Time (JIT) delivery and material availability.
  • Operational Recovery: Resolve line disruptions, such as equipment breakdowns or material shortages, to minimize downtime.
  • Efficiency & Cost Management: Optimize productivity using lean tools (5S, TPM) while reducing scrap and waste.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and capacity utilization data to drive process improvements.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 standards and collaborate on 8D reports and defect containment.
  • Error-Proofing: Implement Poka-Yoke (error-proofing) within production workflows.
  • Team Leadership: Manage supervisors and the hourly workforce across multiple shifts, set KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and develop skill matrices.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA-compliant operations and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any safety incidents.
  • Equipment & Automation: Coordinate preventive maintenance with engineering to maximize OEE and support the commissioning and ramp-up of new automation lines.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with planning, procurement, and engineering to resolve bottlenecks and support New Product Introduction (NPI).
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant years of industry experience.
  • 7+ years in manufacturing production management
  • Proficient in MES, SAP PP, and data analysis tools.
  • Decisive leadership with the ability to adapt to fast-paced production environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive stamping and welding
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin
  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, PMP, or Lean certifications
