JOB DESCRIPTION
Production Supervisor
$70,000+ Salary for Weekend Day/Night Shifts (Friday - Sunday)
Join a dynamic team as a Production Supervisor. This role requires experienced supervisors with backgrounds in sheet metal shops, manufacturing metal shops, electrical wiring, and HVAC manufacturing. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee hourly workers, ensuring they are in the right areas, producing on target, and sufficiently trained to meet production markers.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and support a team of production employees while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
- Monitor and manage daily production schedules to meet output targets, deadlines, and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with the site leadership team with direct responsibility for production team members' performance and plant output.
- Ensure proper staffing levels and coordinate workloads for optimal efficiency.
- Execute administrative tasks to manage time/attendance, disciplinary actions, promotions, and labor reporting.
- Implement and sustain lean manufacturing principles, identify process improvements, and enhance productivity and quality.
- Identify and troubleshoot production bottlenecks, working closely with site leadership, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve issues.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), driving actions to improve throughput, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, specifications, and testing protocols for chiller production.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to address defects, implement corrective actions, and enhance overall product reliability.
- Maintain strict compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in HVAC, refrigeration, or related industries.
- Strong motivation to lead, take ownership, and make an impact on production operations.
- Analytical thinking with a drive to identify and implement process improvements.
- Strong team management, coaching, and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to leadership.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and delivering high-quality products.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with chiller systems, refrigeration components, and manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Experience in sheet metal, fabrication, steel manufacturing, and HVAC.

Work Environment
This role is based in a large plant environment that is not temperature controlled. Expect to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50lbs (non-repetitive), and stoop. The facility includes departments for manufacturing chillers for data centers, sheet metal fabrication, galvanizing, assembly, and wiring. Supervisors with expertise in these fields are necessary to ensure seamless operations.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lexington, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $80000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
