Production Supervisor
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of 20-30 UAW employees, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining quality standards. You will be instrumental in driving production numbers, managing safety protocols, and maintaining compliance with labor agreements. This role requires a strong understanding of supervision processes and the ability to train, develop, and evaluate employees effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a group of 20-30 UAW employees.
- Drive production numbers and manage safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with Local and National Labor Agreements.
- Meet production cost schedules and maintain quality requirements.
- Train, develop, and evaluate employees.
- Maintain department records.
- Collaborate with local UAW representatives.
Essential Skills:
- 3-5 years of prior experience as a production supervisor or production superintendent.
- Knowledge of supervision processes including driving production numbers, disciplinary actions, and reporting.
- Experience in managing safety protocols.
- Understanding of production processes and KPI management.
- Strong verbal communication skills for interaction with UAW employees.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing, production supervision, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing.
- Knowledge of process improvement and Kronos.

Work Environment:
This position is based in a union automotive plant characterized by a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment. The plant operates with two shifts, Monday through Friday, with Saturday reserved for additional work as needed. Supervisors may oversee 20-60 UAW workers. The dress code is polo and jeans. Shifts rotate every three months, with the first shift running from 5:30 AM to 3:00 PM and the second shift from 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM. The plant currently produces approximately 1000 cars a day, including EVs and ICE vehicles, with upcoming changes to production lines.
Job Type & Location:
This is a Contract position based out of Spring Hill, TN.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
