About Us

Café Spice is a growing, multi-site food manufacturer producing ready-to-eat meals for national retail and foodservice customers. We are seeking an experienced Second Shift Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced food production facility. This role is responsible for supervising production employees, ensuring schedules are met, maintaining food safety and quality standards, and driving efficiency on the production floor

Position Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible to ensure all manufacturing goes smoothly and efficiently by closely monitoring how employees organize their workflows.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise production employees and daily manufacturing activities

  • Ensure production schedules and output goals are met

  • Monitor attendance, tardiness, overtime, and staffing levels

  • Enforce all safety, GMP, and food safety requirements

  • Train, coach, and develop Leads and production employees

  • Provide performance feedback and complete evaluations

  • Create and manage staffing schedules

  • Monitor labor usage to control overtime and temporary labor costs

  • Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts

  • Maintain production reports including labor, waste, downtime, and material usage

  • Initiate and follow up on work orders as needed

  • Maintain employee training records

  • Ensure compliance with quality, sanitation, and safety standards

  • Perform and document required food safety and quality checks

  • Work with QA, Maintenance, Sanitation, and other departments to resolve issues


Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in food manufacturing in a supervisory or lead role

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

  • Experience managing employee schedules and performance

  • Knowledge of GMP, food safety, and production processes

  • Microsoft Office experience required (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • ERP system experience preferred

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
