We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Supervisor to join our Team. This role is integral to our success, as you will be responsible for overseeing our production operations and ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. This position is perfect for a motivated, highly organized individual with a strong background in engineering and a passion for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
As our Permanent Production Supervisor, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
2. Implementing production schedules and meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
3. Ensuring compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
4. Leading process improvement initiatives to optimize production and reduce waste, utilizing lean manufacturing principles.
5. Conducting regular quality control checks and addressing any issues promptly.
6. Managing and leading a team of production staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
7. Providing performance management, including setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and implementing training and development programs.
8. Collaborating with other departments, such as design and sales, to ensure alignment and smooth workflow.
9. Reporting on production metrics, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvement.
10. Staying updated on the latest engineering and manufacturing technologies and trends, especially in the aerospace sector.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Production Supervisor role, you should have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the manufacturing / engineering industry, preferably in aerospace.
2. Proven experience with production scheduling, quality control, compliance, process improvement, lean manufacturing, team leadership, and performance management.
3. Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes, technologies, and best practices.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
5. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions quickly.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information.
7. High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
8. A proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate issues and implement solutions.
