Production Supervisor
We are seeking a highly motivated Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Leadership
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all EHS regulations.
- Coach employees on safe work practices and lead by example.
- Identify and address at-risk conditions proactively.
- Conduct and support safety training for all production staff.
Production Planning & Execution
- Ensure production schedules are met to achieve high on-time delivery.
- Coordinate workflow and balance staffing to optimize efficiency.
- Lead effective WIP meetings to drive daily execution.
Communication & Team Engagement
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with the production team.
- Encourage employee input and foster a collaborative environment.
- Liaise with management, suppliers, and customers as needed.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, coach, and develop production staff.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor performance.
- Conduct performance reviews and address attendance or performance issues promptly and fairly.
- Recognize strong performance and promote a positive, results-driven culture.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, procedures, and travelers.
- Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to implement quality control systems.
- Lead root cause analysis for non-conformances and drive corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
Equipment & Process Management
- Support maintenance activities and ensure equipment is in proper working condition.
- Identify potential equipment issues to prevent downtime.
- Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Inventory & Cost Management
- Support inventory control and material availability.
- Coordinate with Procurement on material needs.
- Monitor production costs, minimize waste, and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Engineering Support (as applicable)
- Perform process engineering duties when skills and priorities align.
Qualifications
Required
- High School diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree or higher in a technical field preferred.
- 510 years of industry-related experience.
- 5+ years of supervisory or lead experience.
- Diligence in following procedures, prioritizing, multiple tasks, and producing accurate, high quality, detailed results
- Well-organized, self-starter able to work independently while promoting a team-environment
- Outgoing personality with effective oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with internal and external customers alike
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Requires a professional command of English, including strong skills in reading, writing, presenting, participating in business meetings, and managing projects. Multi-lingual is preferred (Spanish)
- Ability to communicate confidently and effectively when speaking to groups of customers, employees, and members of management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and comfortable working with computers, software applications, and internal systems.
- Experienced in the timekeeping processes, including reviewing and approving employee timesheets, managing overtime, and ensuring adherence to time and attendance policies.
Preferred
- Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
