Were responsible for driving continuous improvement efforts that enable Ford to deliver the highest quality products and services.ResponsibilitiesIn this role you willIn this role you will supervise the hourly Gage and Layout team and serve as the MTC Coordinator for the Plant. This role works cross-functionally and closely with the Plant Production teams Engineering Quality and Product Development. Attention to detail time and data management and organizational skills are key for this role.You will work with:All production areas (Team managers Quality Engineers Process Engineers QOSCs and Team leaders)QOS Strategy teamLayout / Gage operatorsLayout / Gage equipment vendorsWhat youll doEnsure all gage and layout personnel are paid properly monitor WF1 including weekends/holidaysSchedule OT and vacations in WF1Make sure daily coverage is provided (per crew) for plant support ensure plant production is aware if coverage is NOT availableTrack and review upcoming Gage R&Rs and calibrations with the Production areas (Daily - PIC room mtg)Work with layout and calibration vendors to assure all plant equipment is running properlyWrite POs as necessary to get equipment fixed or calibratedMonitor IQS (gage tracking system) to ensure gage inventory is kept up to dateImplement new Gage Tracking System where applicable ensure gage tracking is up to dateMonitor major Gage line calls determine what help is needed contact vendors touch base with department engineers for vendor needsEnsure all team members complete required training and schedule medical exams for team membersSend out and track gages for repairAccessible on off shifts and weekends by phone in case additional Gage or Layout coverage is neededLead weekly MTC meetings driving cross-functional teams to complete checklist itemsTrack MTCs to closure including implementation auditAttend Daily PIC room meeting to report-out on equipment status MTC status/issues and any help neededQualificationsYoull have...High School Diploma or GED2 years of experience in Quality Engineering GD&T2 years of supervisory experienceDemonstrated experience in accomplishing tasks and objectivesProven problem-solving ability Microsoft Office Knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint)Even better you may have...Bachelors degree (mechanical engineering preferred)5 years of experience focusing on QualityPrior experience working with union personnelPrevious automotive and quality analysis experienceUAW experienceYou may not check every box or your experience may look a little different from what weve outlined but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company we encourage you to apply!As an established global company we offer the benefit of choice.
