We need you to motivate inspire and keep your people safe and well.Working and reporting to the ProductionSuperintendentand working in a collaborative community within a diverse team you will be:Monitoring working practices and adherence to safety procedures to ensure safety of employees. Complying with Rio Tinto and Statutory Safety requirements.Responsible for providing direction employees in accordance with the production plan and business needs to achieve quality and quantities of finished goods necessary to meet customer demands.Providing leadership through team building planning and setting key deliverables.Interfacing with planners and fellow Supervisors to assist in continual improvement.Ensuring work is completed in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and soliciting input from team members.What youll bringA commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.High school diploma or equivalent.Experience in manufacturing or production operations/maintenance or a related field.2 years of experience supervising a team.Strong leadership skills.Experience in a unionized environment.Excellent computer skills knowledge of MS Office Excel & SAPKnowledge of OSHA regulations.Knowledge of production or manufacturing equipment including equipment troubleshootingWhat we offerWe are committed to providing our employees with a generous benefits package.
