By connecting with Pivot Group, you position yourself for roles that match your background and aspirations.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute CMM inspection programs based on engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.Select appropriate probes, fixtures, and measurement strategies to ensure accurate and repeatable data collection.Validate CMM programs through first-article inspections, correlation studies, and statistical process control.Analyze measurement data, identify non-conformances, and generate detailed inspection reports.Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve measurement discrepancies and improve part quality.Perform routine maintenance, calibration checks, and basic troubleshooting of CMM equipment.Maintain comprehensive documentation for CMM programs, setup sheets, and inspection results.Recommended QualificationsProficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D CAD models.Strong understanding of metrology fundamentals and measurement techniques.Proven experience in CMM setup, operation, and troubleshooting.Bonus QualificationsGD&T Certification (ASME Y14.5)Experience with multiple CMM software platforms (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS)Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX) for model manipulationUnderstanding of measurement uncertainty principles and MSA (Measurement System Analysis)Job Titles That Should ApplyCMM Programmer, Metrology Technician, Dimensional Metrologist, CMM Quality Inspector, CMM Operator, Inspection Programmer, CMM Specialist, Measurement Systems Engineer, Quality Control ProgrammerWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
