This employee must exhibit sound decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify problems, develop corrective actions, and implement corrections immediately. This employee is responsible for subordinates and the effective accomplishment of assigned tasks.Primary Duties:Accomplish manufacturing goals by communicating job/performance expectationsServe as a role model for team members in safety, quality, attendance, conduct, performance, and efficiencyComplete the production plan by directing assigned personnelProvide on-the-job training for subordinatesExpedite workflow/ensure maximum efficiency and productivityKnow and enforce adherence to company policies, safety standards, 5S/Lean Manufacturing, and Common Sense Cleaning practicesMotivate and maintain harmony among subordinatesAdvises department Supervisor and Manager on all production issues, including good order and disciplineRequirements:Candidate Qualifications1 - 5 years of experience in leading teams, preferably in a manufacturing environmentHigh School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in manufacturing/operations management a plus)Excellent safety recordProblem-solving, delegation, and conflict resolution skillsMust be adaptable to change and have the ability/desire to make a differenceMust be able to lift 40 lbs from the ground to waist levelExperience interacting with multiple groups of people and strong interpersonal skillsStrong time management skills/ability to multitask and balance conflicting prioritiesGood verbal and written communication skillsStrong record of good attendanceAbility to effectively read and write EnglishMust be comfortable making decisions and delegating tasks to his/her teamNo Unauthorized Referrals from Recruiters & VendorsWe are an equal opportunity employer.PandoLogic.
