Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:45am-7:00pm and6:45pm-7:00am). Day for 2 weeks/ Nights for 2 weeksManufacturing experience a mustExperience running machinesSite is not tempeture control.Interview: Manager will be interviewingPURPOSE OF THE JOBThe Operations Technician II is primarily responsible forassisting the lead techs in executing thedaily and long-term operations plan. The position alsoworks in partnership with the Supervior,Operations Manager, TPM teams to develop and executestrong Training and Development(T&D) plans that drive business results. Thecandidate will support the T&D pillar. This is anessential role as the plant seeks to strengthen the skillsets and core competencies of allemployees. The Operations Technician II is responsiblefor conducting, documenting, andrecording training initiatives. He or she will besupporting Lead Tech during the shift andsupervising the technician on the production line, up tofive technicians. The OperationsTechnician II perform all functions of the job withspecific attention to safe behaviors,environmental stewardship, and report allnon-conformities to managementJOB RESPONSIBILITIESSafety SupportFollow all safety rules and procedures for the plant.Follow all lockout procedures.Follow all safety rules and procedures concerning thehandling of all chemicals.Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Support the Safety department in developing, andproviding all required training.Maintain all required certifications and skill setsnecessary to train employeesTraining and Development for all employeesDrive implementation of training plans, creating theplans in partnership with theleadership and as prioritized based on lossesSupport New Hire Orientation, assisting with training newemployees in TPMMethodology and in helping employee certify in their jobsDrive cross training activity for employee developmentTrain employees on Standardized Work, using SharePointSite for Document Control andRecords ManagementCoach employees on the One Point Lessons (OPLs) processand on writing themProduction SupportRead, understand and follow all Standard OperatingProcedures throughout the Plant.Ensure that all training materials are developed andmaintained.Drive the Management of Change process related toTraining Package materials such asStandard Work, Skills Matrices, and Training Plans toensure proper documentation is usedfor training when changes occurSupport TPM Teams on implementation of TPM the OC WayParticipates in the Safety and Housekeeping programs asestablished within the plant andwork areasParticipates in continuous improvement eventsA good understanding of the process equipment used inthis facility.Help in minimizing process downtime.Monitors the specific KPIs required by the job; reactsto upset conditions and escalateswhen necessary.Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the manufacturingprocess, inputs and outputs (i.e.KMIs in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and staffing).Understands the needs of the customer and takes action toaddress those needs.Helps identify process problems and seeks solutions.Participates in shift huddles and meetings as requiredPerforms other related duties consistent with the natureof job as directed by management.Ability to lead team when Lead Tech is outSupport breaks on shiftJOB REQUIREMENTSMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High School DegreeStrong understanding of production lineMust be 18 years or olderMust be a US citizen or have the right to work in the USMust be drug and alcohol freePREFERRED EXPERIENCE:2 years previous experience in training, continuousimprovement and/or in creating standard workPrior experience with TPM Methodology and processespreferred or 5SDemonstrated interest/involvement in the coaching andtraining of othersKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:Must be able to read, write, and speak EnglishMust have the ability to read and understand TechnicalManuals and Specification SheetsMust possess strong communication and organizationalskillsMust have strong internal and external customer serviceskillsMust work well in team environmentMust be able to create & update Standard Work documentsMust maintain all required certifications and skill setsnecessary to train employeesMust have the ability to facilitate training in variousformatsMust be self-motivated to work independently and in agroup, and meet targetsMust have strong attention to detailMultiple Certification may be required including LifttruckMust have good understanding of all company computersystemMust be able to check e-mail, Create, reply to e-mailMust be able to schedule and create new appointmentsMust have the ability to measure and assess the plantstraining needsMust be an innovative thinker style of teachingMust be able embrace efficiency as much as possibleMust have a passion for continuous learningMust have experience or be willing to shadow the variousmachines/roles to gain knowledgeof plant processesESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENTThe employee should possess the ability to:Acceptable background checkClear health questionnaire provided by RegionalOccupational NurseWillingness to work flexible hours as needs ariseAbility to walk/stand throughout the plant for extendedperiodsRoutinely ascend and descend stairs to enter work areasSafeguard self with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (goggles, and/or facemask) asnecessary for taskOperate equipment only when trained in its use and/or areworking with or under the direction of a qualified employee
