Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Production Technician performs tasks involved with the manufacturing, packaging, and shipping of fluid sealing products. The Production Technician provides effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as communicating effectively with team members.Essential FunctionsFabricate finished gaskets from various materials with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) manufacturing equipment and/or by hand efficiently and with maximum utilization of materialReceive, document, and fill orders in accordance with sales/purchase orderEnsure quality standards are met in all areas as outlined in VSP’s Quality ManualPerform weekly and monthly preventative maintenance procedures on machines and equipment usedOperate a fork truck and/or hand truck to move material both in plant and to/from trucksAttach appropriate labels, tags, and information to products and packages ensuring that all products are properly and accurately labeledMaintain established inventory stocking levels including ordering, receiving, and restocking of both finished goods and raw materialsPackage and ship finished goods in accordance with sales/purchase ordersProvide accurate delivery and shipment tracking informationWork in a safe manner that protects and promotes a health and well-being of the employees and the environmentMaintain a work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition that follows prescribed safety regulationsDeliver finished product to customers as necessaryRequired Experience / EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalentExperience relating to the job dutiesMust possess a valid driver’s licenseMust possess or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card (where applicable)Experience or training in manufacturing process/environment (Preferred)CNC manufacturing equipment experience (Preferred)Benefits401(k) plus company matchHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceShort- & Long-Term DisabilityLife InsurancePaid time offPaid HolidaysTuition reimbursementEqual Opportunity EmployerVSP Technologies provides equal opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetics, marital status, political affiliation or veteran status.For applicants or employees who are disabled or require a reasonable accommodation for any part of the application or hiring process may request assistance by contacting Human Resources at 888-334-6013.
