General Production Worker

Join a leading global bio-solutions company, where you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality products for various industries including yogurt and animal feed. As a General Production Worker, you will be responsible for performing essential production duties that ensure the efficient operation of our facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual cleaning of machines during product changeovers.
• Lift up to 50lb bags of raw materials and load them into hoppers.
• Assist the operator in running various machines efficiently.
• Learn and adhere to proper Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and chemical safety protocols.
• Document production runs accurately.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of general production experience.
• 1+ years of experience with GMP.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Understanding of GMP, sanitation, and mixing/blending processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in mixing/blending powders or liquids.
• Previous experience with safely handling chemicals used for sanitation.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.

Work Environment

The position involves a shift from 1pm-11pm Monday-Friday, and 9am-9pm Saturday and Sunday. This shift rotates 7 shifts on, 7 shifts off. The work environment is clean, climate-controlled, and low-key with no strong odors and a moderate pace. Appropriate GMP attire such as hair net, beard net, smock, steel toes, gloves, hard hat, and safety glasses are required. Occasionally, work involves entering a deep freezer at -55 Celsius.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
