Production Worker

We are seeking diligent candidates to work in our manufacturing environment, creating quality windows and patio doors. All candidates will be cross-trained in multiple areas within the facility.

Responsibilities:

• Double Hung: Involves heavy lifting, repetitive work, and requires the ability to read schedules/labels.
• Direct Set: Requires the ability to work independently, learn about different materials and colors, and read paperwork and labels.
• CSMT: Role involves using a sash hanger, tape measure, and reading schedules.
• Patio Door: Involves heavier lifting and tape measure use.

Essential Skills:

• Minimum 6 months of experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch.
• Solid attendance record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High attention to detail.
• Awareness of surroundings.
• Willingness to ask questions when unsure.
• Adaptable to cross-training in multiple areas.
• Comfortable lifting 50 lbs.
• 1 year of manufacturing experience.

Work Environment:

This is a fully on-site position in West Des Moines, Iowa, working from 6am-2:30pm, five days a week. Prepare for busy seasons with 50-hour work weeks and required work on two Saturdays a month. Work in a manufacturing environment across three facilities, which are not temperature controlled. Team size averages around 100 employees per facility. Dress code includes work-appropriate shirts, jeans or shorts, and steel-toed shoes are mandatory.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Des Moines, IA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr.
