JOB DESCRIPTION

Molding and Assembly Workers

We are seeking a dedicated Molding and Assembly Worker to join our team and complete large parts assembly activities for an assigned cell. This role is crucial in maintaining product quality and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

  • Complete required large parts assembly activities for an assigned cell while consistently maintaining product quality and safe work practices.
  • Achieve and maintain daily production rates and goals as established and required by the company.
  • Read and follow standard work instructions.
  • Keep supervisory staff informed of all cell activity, including information related to quality, parts supply, and safety issues.
  • Complete all required cell activities and documentation for assigned work cell as requested by supervisor.
  • Attend all required training sessions.
  • Adhere to safety procedures at all times.
  • Address all quality and safety concerns via the appropriate channels for an assigned cell.
  • Participate in all required continuous improvement activities as required by the business.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and hazard-free workstation at all times.
  • Actively participate in all department projects, tasks, and objectives, including continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards.
  • Use all required tools in the assigned work area.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in assembly work.
  • Ability to use hand tools and perform mechanical assembly.
  • Experience with Outlook, Excel, and reading pick tickets.
  • Receiving and freight management skills.
  • Forklift operation skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English comprehension and expression, both verbal and written.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to adhere to company policies.
  • Capacity to work all scheduled hours and overtime as mandated by the business.
  • Willingness to adhere to plant safety policies.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis.
  • Capability to stand, push, pull, bend, twist, kneel, climb, and work in weather extremes.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Environment

The work environment can be very hot in the summer, requiring appropriate attire and safety precautions. Shift options include Mon - Fri from 5:30am to 1:30pm, Mon - Fri 1:30pm to 9:30pm and Sun - Thurs from 9:30pm to 5:30am.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SMITHFIELD, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.25 - $20.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
