Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are hiring an experienced Civil Construction Estimator to join a leading Louisiana heavy highway contractor. This is a hands-on role for a detail-oriented professional with proven experience in heavy highway construction, including concrete paving, site work, concrete barriers, sewer, water, and drainage projects.Key ResponsibilitiesReview construction documents and identify project scope using state and federal specificationsPerform accurate quantity take-offs and prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and overheadObtain and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractorsCollaborate with project management teams to track budgets, costs, and project financialsSupport bidding and procurement decisions while ensuring cost-effective project planningMaintain vendor and subcontractor databases, government requirements, and project resourcesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction ManagementMinimum 10 years of heavy highway construction estimation experienceProficiency with HCSS Heavy Bid, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and estimating softwareStrong plan reading, contract interpretation, and leadership skillsField experience and strong relationships with local subcontractors and suppliersExcellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilitiesWhy Join UsCompetitive salary $100,000 - $120,000 DOEDiscretionary bonus structureComprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) match, and PTOCollaborative team culture with family-owned leadershipAbout Our Client Our client is a trusted Louisiana heavy highway contractor specializing in civil construction and infrastructure projects.
