Job Description

Reports ToThe Program Assistant will report to Program Director. This position is non-exempt part-time hourly position.Salary: $17.00- $17.10 HourlyFull-Time: Tuesday - Saturday 7am - 3pmThe Program Assistant is responsible for implementing assigned activities and programs to meet the needs interests and capabilities of the residents within the community. Assumes the responsibility to engage residents to participate in activities and programs each day.Responsibilities and DutiesAssists with planning and implementing activities that meet the needs and interests of the residentsAssists with creating resident histories and profiles with resident/family involvementAssumes responsibility for set-up and clean-up of daily activities scheduledAssists with creating a monthly social program calendar and distributes them to community personnel and residentsKeeps residents engaged between planned social activitiesDrive the community vehicle for resident outingsQualifications : QualificationsOne to two years related experience in leading activities for the elderlyHigh school diploma or higher education preferredExcellent verbal and written communicationWilling to work flexible hoursProficiency in computer skills Microsoft Office (Windows Outlook Excel) with the ability to learn new applicationsAbility to drive the community vehicle for resident outingsPhysical AbilitiesWhile performing the duties of this job the associate is often required to stand walk sit use fine and gross motor skills reach with hands and arms balance stoop kneel crouch talk hear and smell.An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 25 lbs.
