You matter and so does the impact you can make with us.The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Program Coordinator Strategic Research Team in our National Center office located in Dallas TX.This position is a minimum 6-month temporary role with an end date of June 30 2026 but with the possibility of extension. This position will work in a hybrid setting (in the office at least 2 days a week and as needed) in our Dallas office.The Association offers many resources to help you maintain work-life harmonization through your changing needs and life situations. Be Valued at the American Heart Association by following us onLinkedInInstagramFacebookX and .ResponsibilitiesThe Program Coordinator provides administrative and technical support services withinthe Associations strategic research awards team focusing on process and day-to-day management. Conduct data quality reviews for the team and assist investigators and their institutional officers in understanding and interpreting the Associations policies and procedures to ensure compliance with research awards.Awards Management:Manages notification to research applicants and institutionsManages grant agreements for awarded projectsManages award activation process (collecting forms and resolving concerns)Supervises awards for compliance with American Heart Association policies and proceduresManages active awards change requests and related inquiriesReviews annual financial reports for compliance with policiesMonitors periodic scientific report submissionsProvides information and consultation to all customer groups (awardees institutional personnel and sponsors)Special Projects:Supports the team through assistance with scheduling meetings follow-up with attendees proofreading documents preparing for applicant webinars reparing and leading applicant webinarsData Quality Reviews to evaluate the accuracy of information and reportsSupports annual institutional auditAssist management with special projects as needed/assignedWant to help get your resume to the top Take a look at the experience we require:QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum three (3) years of related experience requiredDemonstrated evidence of strong customer service and organizational skillsAbility to communicate information accurately and effectively to a variety of audiencesExperience working with databases and electronic reporting toolsStrong attention to detailStrong computer skills (Word PowerPoint Excel)Here are some of the preferred skills we are looking for:Bachelors degree from a four-year college or universityExperience managing application notification and awards processes preferredExperience in research administration with a funding organizationExperience/proficiency with an electronic research administration systemExperience working with volunteers particularly science volunteersCompensation & BenefitsThe American Heart Association invests in its people.
