Class SummaryJob DescriptionThe Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating maintenance of district parks and facilities to ensure proper maintenance and quality levels of service. This position involves conducting regular field inspections inspecting job sites to ensure proper completion of work and working closely with field staff and Parks Manager to discuss and address immediate and future maintenance needs in the parks. Additionally the incumbent will be supervising district personnel to ensure compliance with the Gwinnett County Merit Rules and Regulations.Essential DutiesEvaluating employees through annual review processPreparing overseeing and tracking annual budgets for district parksCollaborating with business management in drafting and reviewing annual contracts for parksManaging landscaping contractors for district parksAssigning and prioritizing projects for district parksInterviewing potential candidates and providing recommendations for hiring disciplinary actions and terminationsResponding to emergency calls and situations as neededMeeting contractors and acquiring estimates for repairs projects and improvementsForecasting and managing capital projectsPublic Speaking DutiesAnswering questions and interacting with members of the publicSpeaking during internal meetings and providing updates and reports as neededDeveloping and delivering engaging training sessions for employeesOther Job Requirements/InformationThis job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours weekends and/or holidaysGradeThe grade for this position isC421.
