Job Description

Title:Program LeadReports to:Unit DirectorNon-Exempt Position:School year: Up to 30 hours per week. Generally be available from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.Summer: Up to 40 hours with availability from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.Position Summary:Under the general supervision of the Club Director the Program Lead is responsible for programming that contributes to the growth and development of our members. This position looks to other clubs and for best programs to implement at our club. This position also helps supervise and motivate part-time staff. Must be cooperative friendly and create a safe and harmonious environment and abide by and support the Club mission.QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge:Demonstrated knowledge of customer service working with children and program development and managementAbility to create and manage programs that contribute to the advancement of youth development.Ability to supervise part-time staff and volunteers during club programsEducation and Age Requirements:High school diploma or higherMust be 18 or olderExperience:Experience in a youth serving organization preferred.Demonstrated ability to create a positive environment for all youth is requiredExperience with creating/managing programs preferred.Experience leading peersKEY ROLES (ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES)Create & Manage Club ProgramsCreate and manage programs for the clubManage supplies needed for programs including storage within the clubUtilize and other clubs to find best practicesConnect with potential partners in the community to bring in programsWork with grants director in obtaining all necessary information from membersFacilitate surveying members to get feedback on programsSafety and SecurityEnsure program areas are safe and that the Club equipment is maintained in good working conditionAdhere to all safety measure policies in place at the club which may include wearing PPE frequent hand washing and staying home when you are sick.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESSupervision:Assist in leading and supervising part-time staffMay help with some interviewing/hiringRelationships:Maintain daily contact with program and administration staffMaintain contact with members and parents as neededPHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTSDemonstrate the ability to:Maintain a high energy level; comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activitiesRegularly required to speak clearly and hear the spoken word as wellRender excellent judgment skills; selecting the most appropriate course of action in a given situationAbility to resolve conflict and potential crises as they ariseSkills:Communication Skills: Informing presenting writingDecision Making Skills: AnalyzingPersonal Initiative Skills: Organizational awareness professional development striving for excellencePlanning Skills: Action planning and organizing monitoring and analyzingLeading by example: Serving as a role model by demonstrating responsible professional and ethical behaviorSafety Health and Environment: Fostering organizational wellnessDISCLAIMERThe information presented indicates the general nature and level of work expected of employees in this classification.
