This role primarily directs and coordinates oil pollution and tank management activities. It involves serving as the senior manager for a staff of approximately 46 technical and administrative professionals across three divisions- the Compliance Division the Remediation Division and the Aboveground Storage Tank (AST) and Permits Division. The position also manages the Information Management and Quality Assurance Section.The position is responsible for ensuring the Oil Control Program carries out the statutory mandates of Environment Article 4 Subtitles 4 6 and 7 and the requirements set forth in Code of Maryland Regulations 26.10 Oil Pollution and Tank addition the manager must ensure compliance with federal law and regulations related to underground storage tanks.The incumbent will be required to drive a State vehicle. If you hold an out-of-state drivers license you must provide a certified copy of your driving record from the issuing states Motor Vehicle Administration at the time of hire. All individuals must maintain a drivers license with no more than 5 points on their driving record to operate a State vehicle.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSApplicantsmust satisfy the minimum qualifications to be considered for this position andmove forward in the hiring process.
