Job Title: Program Manager Location: Southfield MI Duration: 3 Months Job Type: Temporary Assignment Work Type: Onsite Shift: Monday-Friday 10.00AM-7.00PM EST Job Description: Summary: The main function of a project manager is to plan direct or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering research and development financial systems and product roll-out etc or any other non-IT based project. Job Responsibilities: Coordinate projects making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities. Present and explain proposals reports and findings to clients. Recruit employees assign direct and evaluate their work and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence. Analyze technology resource needs and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects. Skills: Verbal and written communication skills problem solving skills attention to detail and interpersonal skills. Basic ability to work independently and manage ones time. Basic knowledge of production processes quality control costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning resource allocation and production methods. Basic knowledge of computer software such as MS Word MS PowerPoint MS Project Visio etc. Equipment or Software Required: Windows PC Purpose of the Team: Focuses on ensuring the efficient and reliable flow of materials and parts needed for vehicle production from sourcing to delivery. This includes managing supplier relationships optimizing logistics and maintaining inventory levels. The program also aims to reduce costs improve efficiency and enhance sustainability by minimizing waste and optimizing the number of parts in their vehicles. Typical Day in the Role Key projects: Need a Supply Chain PM to help manage Nexus program launch and SC deliverables Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: Confirming RQ status supplier status tool status part orders material deliveries. Managing GSM. Compelling Story & Candidate Value Proposition Unique Selling Points: High-level visibility with leadership. Contributions will be recognized. High probability of FTE conversion. Diverse work on a daily basis. Candidate Requirements Years of Experience Required: 2-4 overall years of experience in the field. Degrees or certifications required: Bachelors degree is preferred for this role. Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain Automotive industry manufacturing experience. New product launch experience. Good communication skills.
