Our team solves tough meaningful problems that create a safer more secure world.The Raytheon Operations & Supply Chain (OSC) organization within the EO/IR Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU) is looking for a Program Operations Manager (POM) supporting production and sustainment activities. This position will partner with a cross-functional program team and the applicable manufacturing sites (factories) to develop and execute a manufacturing strategy that supports business objectives and drives cost schedule and technical performance.This position is an onsite role in Richardson TX or McKinney TX.What You Will Do:Partner with program and business leadership to shape develop and execute the strategies and objectives of the product line to achieve the cost quality and schedule goalsWork with program and factory teams to establish accurate Bill of Material (BOM) and executable build planEstablish an executable manufacturing plan and manage operations specific risks and opportunitiesCoordinate & develop operations requirements for RPLM life cycle milestones (formerly IPDS gate reviews & execute proposed strategies from early gate reviews) for effective implementation in current and future productionCollaborate with cross functional teams to drive cost schedule technical performanceOwn program On Time Delivery and development of recovery strategies as requiredInterface daily with factory and program management to communicate operations status issues/help needed risks and opportunitiesLead CORE Control Room as Program Liaison with the factoryCollaborate cross-functionally across multiple internal functional within RTX to manage production effortsPrepare & present information for Monthly Management Reviews summarizing program status & any on-going production issuesCoordinate factory readiness reviews with process Engineering and factory personnelLead collaborative efforts to identify and convert needs into solutionsCommunicate clearly and remove barriers to executionMaintain collaborative and responsive relationships within the product line and with functional support organizationsManage operations proposal activities including Basis of Estimate (BOE) generation and ensure costs & challenges are understood by operations/factory leadershipHave Raytheon Earned Value Certification or obtain within 6 months of hireQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years relevant experience.Experience in Operations Manufacturing Engineering and/or Program / Project ManagementExperience with manufacturing / shop floor executionExperience with 1 or more phases of Product Life Cycle from development production and sustainmentThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
