Job Description

Eland Engineering a GAI company is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team in Fort Lauderdale FL. The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning execution and completion of construction and maintenance projects. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time within scope and within budget by coordinating resources tracking progress and maintaining clear communication among stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Project Coordination:Assist in the development of project/task scopes schedules and estimates.Coordinate with contractors vendors and internal teams to ensure timely execution of tasks.Monitor project timelines and milestones and report progress to management.Documentation & Reporting:Maintain accurate records of project activities including contracts permits change orders and inspection reports.Prepare and distribute regular status updates and final project reports.Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Communication & Stakeholder Management:Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries.Facilitate meetings and site visits with stakeholders and contractors.Address issues and escalate concerns to appropriate parties as needed.Quality & Safety Oversight:Support quality control efforts by coordinating inspections and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.Promote and enforce safety standards on job sites.Budget & Resource Management:Track project expenses and assist in budget reconciliation.Coordinate procurement of materials and services in alignment with project needs.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering Business Administration or related field.10 years of experience in construction electrical contracting or Utility project coordination.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Proficiency in MS Office software applicationsKnowledge of construction methods building codes and safety regulations.Preferred Skills:Experience with maintenance operations in commercial or industrial settings.Familiarity with contract administration and vendor management.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.General CharacteristicsContinues to show progress in applying broad knowledge of principles and practices in a specific practice area. Independently evaluates selects and adapts standard techniques procedures and criteria. Leads tasks and projects of moderately complex scopes. Develops plans specifications and other project documents. Maintains confidentiality. Assists in managing confidential information and processes at the direction of the Senior Administrative Specialist. Minimum Years of Experience6 Years of ExperienceEducationAssociate degree (or higher) from accredited college or university preferred. Combination of experience related coursework and/or education may replace requirement for college degree.Certification/LicensureNotary Public preferred.Drivers LicenseTechnical ResponsibilitiesShows progress in implementing administrative/business support programs by providing higher level tasks supporting operations. Collects and analyzes internal and external information in order to support operations. Project and Task ManagementPredominantly plans and coordinates detailed aspects of Business Support projects. Prepares project scopes schedules and plans for assigned projects. Predominantly assigns tasks to other technical and non-technical staff. Management ResponsibilityReceives general direction on key objectives. Receives guidance on unconventional/complex problems direction on modified techniques and new approaches on assignments with conflicting criteria. Attends project meetings and assists with meeting minutes. Mentors junior staff by providing guidance explaining responsibilities and reviewing work products.
