Project Cost Analyst at Leidos

Leidos Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Cost Analyst to join our Power Delivery Solutions this role you will work project managers and engineering leads to provide comprehensive Project Management Services that support Leidos electric utility clients. Responsibilities will include:Developing monitoring and maintaining engineering and construction project budgets for various sized transmission & distribution projects for public-owned and investor-owned electric utilitiesWork with Project Management teams using earned value management techniques to ensure that forecasts and costs are aligned including the development of recovery plans to stay within approved limitsShare team utilization metrics and address any utilization concerns with AEPs Center of Excellence (COE) to maintain alignment with project objectives and resource requirements.Partner closely with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverablesDevelop and produce weekly/monthly project control reports for client and internal management review.Interfacing directly with the client and internal management to report progress schedule and risks across a portfolio of electrical distribution projectsAssist the project manager with the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project dashboard reports and KPI trackingThe role will have some remote capabilities but will require a frequent presence in our customers New Albany OH office on a hybrid working scheduleBackground Requirements:Bachelors degree in the following disciplines: Business Engineering Construction Management or closely relatedThree (3) years of relevant project controls/cost analysis experienceProven knowledge of ECOSYS enterprise project performance softwareShould demonstrate recent and in-depth expertise in electric power infrastructure projects within transmission substation and/or distribution designDemonstrated work history of planning organizing directing and tracking technical efforts on assigned tasksShould be capable of tracking cost and schedule status of assigned tasksMust be able to interact with customer representatives in an effective manner; Strong writing and verbal communication skillsrequiredProficiency utilizing MS Project suite with a heavy emphasis on MS Excel.Previous experience working with AEP would be preferred but not requiredAt Leidos we pride ourselves on being a trusted and technology-focused solutions provider.
