DescriptionAs a Project Engineer II you will be part of our Engine Controls team driving New Product Development (NPD) Programs within Honeywell Aerospace. You will be integral in the design integration and test of Engine Control Air and Thermal Valves and Air Turbine Start Systems leveraged across commercial and defense platforms. You will be involved in every aspect of the NPD product life cycle from the planning and concept phases through equipment or system verification and early production support.ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIESTechnical leadership for the Engine Controls Valves and Start System Product PortfolioProject management performance and executionCost schedule and milestone development/managementEarned Value Management System (EVMS)Risk (threats/opportunities) development and managementInternal/External Customer technical communication and relationshipsHardware supplier technical communication/interfaceTechnical problem solving/Root cause analysisTechnical documentation Test plans procedures and reportsAnalysis of test data resultsAssess customer industry and regulatory requirements documentationAbility to read and understand detail design drawingsProposal development support of estimation of resources and scheduleQualificationsYOU MUST HAVEBachelors degree from an accredited institution in engineering or a related discipline such as the sciences technology engineering industrial manufacturing or mathematics.2 years of Engineering experience years of Engineering experience working on system or product development in Aerospace Automotive or related technology industries.In lieu of 2 years of experience a masters degree in engineeringWE VALUENew Product Development Process and/or Manufacturing experience in AerospaceComplex system development experience in AerospaceStrong management operating system that facilitates communicationLeadership Skills specifically decision making driving results and bias for actionAbility to create specific action plans prioritize time and resources effectivelyAbility to convey subtle or complex messages clearly as appropriate for the topic and audience both internally and externallyAble to convey technical ideas and concepts through team discussions presentations and in writingKnowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Product Development Process and/or Manufacturing experience in Aerospace Automotive or an adjacent industryCommitment ManagementExperience with Pneumatic-Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Systems products and controls (Engine Valves Start Systems Actuation Environmental Control Valves)Experience withsystems requirement flow downExperience with DOORs or DOORS Next GenExperience with ELMDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations candidate must be a U.S. Person which is defined as a U.S. citizen a U.S. permanent resident or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.In addition to a competitive salary leading-edge work and developing solutions side-by-side with dedicated experts in their fields Honeywell employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
