This role will help support and ensure the success of our products that give insight into the ocean environment.The Drafter/Designer Project Engineer creates and prepares drawings under the direction of the Field Engineers and Project Managers for numerous marine design projects.The ideal candidate will get a thrill from playing a pivotal role in contributing to the companys continued success while upholding Kongsbergs values of Determination Innovation Collaboration and Reliability. Youll work alongside a team of down-to-earth colleagues who are just as dedicated and ambitious as you are in their respective areas of expertise.The Project Engineer will be based out of the Lynnwood WA office and will report to the Director of Engineering.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare engineering drawings sketches Bill of Materials and other information for a wide range of customer projects within Ocean Technologies.Consolidate inputs from a variety of sources to create efficient drawings with input from other stakeholders on the team.Analyze design requirements and present possible solutions for integration with vessels.Includes document controller responsibilities Teamcenter.Work with third party suppliers to meet contract requirements.Provide pre-sales support including feasibility studies and defining scope of work.Produce contract deliverables for new vessel builds and refurbishments.Continual process improvement.QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:1 5 years of marine design experience required.Fluent in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.Strong working knowledge of drafting standards. High comfort level to work with 2d layouts wiring schematics and diagrams.PREFERRED SKILLS:Able to work alone and with a team.
