IDEAL Project ManagerGeorgia State UniversitySchool of Public HealthCenter for Leadership in Disability/MCCHDAt the Center for Leadership in Disability (CLD) in the Mark Chaffin Centers for Healthy Development School of Public Health we seek to translate research into community practices that improve the lives of people with disabilities and their family members. As a grant-funded University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) we engage in four core functions (i.e. interdisciplinary training and education; community service; research & evaluation; and information dissemination) to achieve this goal.Our vibrant center is regularly engaging to strengthen our efforts to provide inclusive educational opportunities that lead to employment and we are thrilled that you are interested in contributing to our mission. The Center for Leadership in Disability is seeking(1)IDEAL Project Managerto join our team.IDEAL is an inclusive postsecondary education program for undergraduate students with intellectual disabilities at GSU. Responsibilities for the new Project Manager position include recruiting supporting and assessing progress of IDEAL students; providing and receiving training related to implementation of IPSE programs; maintaining and developing new relationships with IDEAL program stakeholders and funders; and contributing to the management and administration of the IDEAL program.Duties include but are not limited to:Identifies new initiatives and funding opportunities for IDEAL Contributes to proposal writing for external program fundingSupports IDEAL Program budgetingDevelops and implements project plans for IDEAL initiativesContributes to managing IDEAL contracts with outside entitiesManages communication and marketing for IDEALProvides information to the public about IDEALContributes to preparing reports for funders and stakeholdersTrains and supervises IDEAL support staffProvides training and consultation to other educators and community membersWorks with state and regional partners steering committees and other external stakeholders to meet IDEAL goals and objectivesAttends training programs as appropriate to understand current and emerging trends in IPSE program design student recruitment and retention and sustainabilityProvides academic social and employment supports to IDEAL studentsInteracts with IDEAL students on a daily basis to ensure they are engaged in planned activitiesConducts ongoing assessment of students progress towards receiving certificate at conclusion of programCoordinates recruitment of new IDEAL studentsEstablishes and maintains working relationships with K-12 schools parents and interested applicantsWorks with students with IDD their families and IPSE program staff to support student successPerforms other related duties as assignedMinimum Requirements:Bachelors degree and two years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.To be fully considered for this position all candidates must submit the following at the time of submission:A complete and accurate GSU applicationResumeCover LetterThree professional references#LI-JB1Required Experience:IC Key Skills Project Management Methodology,Project / Program Management,Construction Estimating,Construction Experience,PMBOK,Visio,Construction Management,Project Management,Project Management Software,Microsoft Project,Project Management Lifecycle,Contracts Employment Type : Contract Experience: years Vacancy: 1
