Job Title: Project Estimator Job Location: High Springs FL Job Type: Full time Job Description: Review project specifications drawings and requirements to develop accurate cost estimates. Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for materials labor equipment and subcontractor services. Analyze project scope identify risks and provide cost-effective solutions. Collaborate with project managers engineers architects and vendors to collect relevant data. Request and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations. Develop and maintain cost databases pricing records and historical cost information. Prepare bid proposals budgets and cost reports. Assist in value engineering and cost optimization efforts. Attend pre-bid meetings site visits and client discussions as necessary. Support project scheduling by providing time and resource estimates. Participate in contract negotiation and clarification of scope. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelors degree in construction management Engineering Architecture or related field (preferred). 2 5 years of experience as a Project Estimator in construction manufacturing engineering or a related industry. Strong proficiency in estimating software (e.g. Bluebeam RSMeans ProEst PlanSwift etc.). Ability to interpret technical drawings blueprints and specifications. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of construction methods materials and cost factors. Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook). Preferred Qualifications Experience in commercial industrial or residential project estimating. Knowledge of project management tools (e.g. MS Project Primavera). Experience with procurement subcontractor coordination or contract administration. Professional certifications (e.g. AACE ASPE) are a plus. Soft Skills Strong problem-solving ability. Highly organized and able to meet deadlines. Good negotiation and vendor management skills. Team player with collaborative work style.
