JOB DESCRIPTION
Project Financial Director
Location: Sacramento, CA.
Job Summary
The Project Financial Director will work on one of AECOM’s major infrastructure programs. This role acts as a key liaison between Program Delivery and the Finance Department.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist FINO management with coordination and resolution of financial system reconciliations and other ad‑hoc projects as directed.
- Coordinate the monthly project delivery financial reporting process, ensuring project data is accurate and reported in a timely manner.
- Maintain monthly contingency tracking and other specific duties as assigned.
- Coordinate closely with the Program Management Office regarding the financial management of the baseline and forecasts. This includes resolving issues that impact financial reporting and ensuring baseline reporting gives a transparent assessment of the status of the baseline and the activity that has occurred.
- Interact and communicate effectively with executive management as well as program staff.
- Understand the touchpoints between program delivery and finance.
- Identify issues and impacts, communicate the ramifications to both finance and program delivery management, coordinate and lead the resolution of these issues.
- Manage an accounting team tasked with supporting a mega infrastructure program.
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS with at least 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Finance, CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience with demonstrated success in executive financial roles.
- Experience in the engineering and construction industry.
- Excellent communication skills in dealing with executives as well as staff.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of project management, project controls, business operations, finance, project schedule and cost planning and reporting techniques, and construction project phases and disciplines.
Additional Information
Salary Range: $122,820.39 - $227,217.73 (California locations only).
