JOB DESCRIPTION

Assistant Project Manager Or Project Manager

We need an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager. Ideally the candidate would have experience with Public Works Construction and design-build project experience is a bonus.

We are looking for a Project Manager and/or Assistant Project Manager that would perform typical duties of a Construction PM. We don't necessarily have a formal job description but here are the duties & responsibilities we look for in a PM.

A project manager for ECC would oversee every phase of a building project from inception to completion. They are the primary link between ECC and project Owner. They are responsible to work with Project Superintedent and Project Engineer in the planning, scheduling, and execution of the project. Ideally our PM's would be able to review plans and understand the "building" effort such that they are managing timely and cost-effective solutions to issues that arise. Our PMs work with superintendent to develop and update the project schedule, including managing any delay issues with Owner and or subcontractors. PM is responsible to prepare SOV, complete monthly owner payment applications, and process monthly subcontractor invoices with accounting. PM should be capable of scoping and negotiating changes with project Owner. PM should be able to understand subcontractor work scopes and negotiate any change orders with subcontractors as necessary. PM should oversee QA process in coordination with Project Engineer and Superintendent to ensure timely processing of submittals to meet project schedule. PM will be expected to conduct routine site visits and facilitate Owner project meetings, including reviewing progress, resolving field issues, and making decisions that keep the project moving forward.

Assistant Project Manager would work with a Senior PM to process submittal, and learn the duties of a PM with the idea that they will move into a full PM Role as they gain experience and expertise.

We are focused on "building" in an efficient and productive manner so field experience and problem-solving are paramount, along with knowing how to document properly to protect ECC as necessary. We are looking for good balance of building knowledge and documentation. Our PMs are not glorified project accountants.

Here are ranges of pay for candidates:

Project Manager $125,000 - $140,000 salary per year

Asst. PM $95,000 - $110,000 salary per year

In addition to salary, ECC pays full cost of employee health insurance premiums, ECC pays 3% of salary to pension, Employee has option to defer part of salary to 401k plan, Salaried employees get 16 or 17 days per year of PTO (sick & vacation), ECC pays yearly bonus based upon how the overall company performs. We do not do project specific bonuses.
