This role is ideal for someone with experience in mechanical systems, HVAC controls, or building automation who enjoys owning projects from start to finish. You'll play a key role in delivering integrated building systems that improve performance, efficiency, and overall facility operations. This position offers a mix of office, remote, and field-based work, depending on project needs. What You'll Be Doing Manage full lifecycle of commercial construction and BAS projects from kickoff through closeout Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and overall performance Support design and implementation of building automation systems, HVAC controls, and integrated building systems Ensure proper system integration across HVAC, lighting, power monitoring, and security systems Track project progress, manage change orders, and communicate updates to stakeholders Assist with commissioning, troubleshooting, and final system turnover Build strong client relationships and act as the main point of contact throughout the project What We're Looking For Experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction, mechanical, or controls projects Background in HVAC systems, building automation (BAS/BMS), or mechanical systems Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and coordination Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and client-facing skills Located in or near Peoria, IL Nice to Have Experience with BAS platforms (Schneider Electric, Niagara, etc.) Exposure to system integration across multiple building systems Prior commissioning or field experience Interested in hearing more?
