Project Manager District Services Engineer at Westwood Professional Services

OverviewProject Manager - District Services - Frisco/Fort Worth TXWestwood Professional Services Inc.Westwood Professional Services Inc. is seeking to fill an open Project Manager position for the District Services Team in North Texas. This person can sit in the Frisco or Fort Worth office. The team is looking for a detail and task-oriented self-starter who is organized and comfortable working in both a team environment and in a public setting. This individual needs to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment under multiple deadlines managing multiple tasks simultaneously organizing tasks by priority with long lead times and able to communicate professionally to a wide variety of clients. Duties and ResponsibilitiesRequesting quotes from contractors for a variety of construction projects ranging from small to large scale;Completing thorough quantity take-offs in Bluebeam for construction bid tabulations;Preparing and sending shortform contracts from Excel templates to contractors with timely follow-ups;Preparing recommendation of award and notice to proceed letters;Processing contractors pay applications and change orders;Keeping files organized in existing filing structures;Data entry in Excel;Preparation of engineering reports for monthly Board meetings; Attending board meetings (may include evenings);Performing pre-bid and pre-construction meetings online and/or in person;Traveling to job site projects throughout the greater DFW area;Walking construction phases with District inspectors; Collaborating with construction inspectors (both Westwoods and other City Inspectors);Preparing engineering reports for entitlement process;Preparing feasibility studies for entitlement process;Preparing project cost estimates from feasibility study;The compensation for this position is competitive and will be determined based on the candidates experience skills and qualification. Additionally this is bonus-eligible position offering further potential for financial recognition based on performance and company success.Required SkillsExcel experience (moderate to expert level)Bluebeam experience (moderate preferred but not required)AutoCAD (preferred but not required) Well-spoken and comfortable presenting and addressing clients in a public setting (board of directors/supervisors) district consultants (attorneys financial advisors bookkeepers auditors) public officials residents HOAs etc.Knowledge in construction practicesKnowledge in engineering designRequired Experience5 years of engineering experience in one of the following sectors: district services single-family design water/wastewater design traffic engineering construction managementGraduate from an accredited university or college with a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (Experience or degrees in other disciplines may be substituted at Managements discretion).Preferred ExperienceBluebeam experienceAutoCAD experienceEIT or Professional Engineering license preferred but not requiredAbout Westwood Professional Services Inc.
